Born 4 September 1964 Aadesh Srivastava was a talented musician and composer. With beautiful tracks like "Haathon Mein Aa Gaya Jo Kal", Sona sona", "Shava Shava" and more he entertained music lovers for years. He was original in his style and worked with many famous banners. His life was cut short after was diagnosed with cancer. Though he died quite early at the age of 51 yet his melodious music will continue to inspire generations to come.
Either be semi-classical song Mora Piya from Raajneeti or party number Say Shava Shava (Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham), he equally excelled in all. Ironically his life was cut short on 5 September 2015, a day after his 51st birthday. But composers like Aadesh Shrivastava don't die. They continue to inspire generations of music lovers through beautifully composed melodious tracks.
Aadesh Shrivasatava hailed from Jabalpur and was born in a Hindu Kayastha family on 4 September 1964. Married to Vijayta Pandit, the sister of Jatin Lalit and actress Sulakshana Pandit he was a doting father of two sons, namely Anivesh and Avitesh. His had a brother Chitresh Shrivastava who owned Eyeline Telefilm and Events. Chithresh died in a car accident in 2011.
Just like others Aadesh Srivastava too had to struggle a lot in finding acceptance in Bollywood. Though Kanyadaan in 1993 marked the beginning of his career but it was the famous song Haathon Mein Aa Gaya Jo Kal from the 1994 film Aao Pyar Karen which brought laurels to the young music composer. Terrific musician and talented composer he again made people groove on the tunes of "Kya Ada Kya Jalwe Tere Paro" from the film Shastra. It got him in the limelight once again. His pairing with Amitabh Bachchan was special in many ways. He worked with Amitabh Bachchan in films such as Baghban and Major Saab. Songs such as "Sona sona", "Shava Shava" best matched with the personality of the iconic actor. Adesh Srivastaba also worked Abishek Bachchan in movie Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai. Over the course of his career, he composed music for over 100 Hindi films and won accolades for his work in Kunwara, Tarkieb, Shikari, Border, Refugee and LOC Kargil.
A person of many talents he was a judge on the talent hunt show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 and 2009. He ventured into direction with his short film on child prostitution, "Sanaa". In 2009 he made a cameo in the film World Cupp 2011. Being a great artist, he paired with international performers such as Akon, Julia Fordham, Wyclef Jean, Dominic Miller, Shakira, and T-Pain.
Illness and Death
Aadesh Shrivastava had been diagnosed with cancer. He was undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Though he showed signs of improvement yet could not recover fully and passed away on 5 September 2015 a day after he turned 51.
Many from the film fraternity took to Twitter to express their shock and grief soon after they heard the news of Aadesh Shrivastava’s demise.
